In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
