The Serious Charges

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.

A senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

Scope of the Investigation

These allegations come after what police called a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
