Star Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Position Following Voicing Contentious Covid Documentary
The acclaimed actor has given his voice to a feature-length documentary that questions the safety of vaccines and praises former government figure the political figure.
The Film's Disputed Origins
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a popular book co-authored by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the health crisis for claims that Covid was caused by a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.
The book's collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. The producer recently posted hailing Neeson's role in the project.
An Unequivocal Rebuttal
The team of the actor have provided a comment firmly refuting implications that he subscribes to anti-immunization sentiments.
"Everyone can understand that unethical practices may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be conflated with opposition to vaccines," the response states. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with the global charity underscores his long-held support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."
The statement noted that the performer did not shape the documentary's messaging and that questions about its content should be directed to the producers.
Key Claims In the Documentary
In the film, the narration provided by Neeson features several strong points:
- It suggests that pro-immunization voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to health authorities.
- It argues that "research has become deeply politicized."
- Kennedy is shown stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
- The film further attacks pandemic restrictions, saying they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
- Regarding the immunizations, it references a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."
Historical Background and Recent Issues
It includes a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the focus of a correction by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.
Recently, RFK Jr instructed the CDC to change its long-held position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, even with a fresh analysis from the global health body reiterating no such link has been found.
An Earlier Record of Support
Standing in contrast to the film's tone, Neeson has previously expressed firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Two years ago, he called vaccines as "an incredible triumph," stating that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."
The film ends with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This isn't the finish of our story. It is the beginning of a different phase."
